Dear Mr. Claus, I know you have been receiving a lot of mail lately and I am sorry for adding to your workload.
I just wanted to take a moment of your time to tell you about myself and why I am writing this letter. You see, my family was in an accident last week and we lost our home as well as all of our possessions with it.
We are now living in a homeless shelter until the government finds us another place to live at the end of this month. It is hard enough being away from friends and family but not having any clothes or toys around really makes it feel like Christmas has come early!
The reason that I am writing this letter is because since then, whenever one of my siblings or I get something for Christmas, it is always the same thing.
The other day, my little sister was asking me what she should ask of you this year and all I could think to do was wish her peace in our family. I am not even sure if there are any toys that we can afford at local stores right now but with your help maybe next Christmas will be a little better than expected!
