This Year Will Be The Year of Diesel Truck Blog.

The automobile industry has been in a state of flux for the past decade, but earlier this year an up-and-coming player made its grand entrance.

Diesel Truck Blog is a blog that is all about diesel trucks. The blog is mostly dedicated to information on OTR trucking, truck driving careers, maintenance tips and techniques for diesel trucks, and most important news on the latest developments in the world of diesel trucks.

Since the beginning of the Diesel Truck Blog, the only rule of the blog was to write about things that interest me. Five years later, I am still as interested as ever in diesel trucks, and I hope to bring you as much relevant information as I can for as long as I can. As a truck driver, this blog is an opportunity for me to share my opinion on topics relating to OTR driving and maintenance.

When I began Diesel Truck Blog in 2008 a few months after a career change from neurosurgeon to the professional truck driver, it was a brand new phenomenon. I started writing seriously because I wanted to share relevant information with others that might be interesting or useful by putting it up on the internet.

In the early days, it was mostly a website that had a blog as an added feature. In 2012, I hired a webmaster to help maintain the site, and I have been extremely satisfied with the results. We have been able to build a community of loyal readers around our website and around our Facebook page.

For over four years now I’ve been producing a free newsletter with news on what is going on in the trucking industry. Today we have over 100,000 subscribers – way more than have ever visited our website – and this number continues to grow steadily because of word-of-mouth marketing from subscribers who actually use the newsletter.

Since I began Diesel Truck Blog in late 2008, I’ve been writing about the OTR trucking industry for three years. It wasn’t long before I realized that there was no “blog for truck drivers with an interest in diesel trucks.” So I decided to start one. If I had to do it over again, I’d still wind up here.

This site has given me a platform to speak on topics affecting the industry and the drivers alike. When people read my blog, they grow interested in what I am saying and they become regular readers of my email newsletter. This is the best way for me to send out information that is relevant and interesting.

I am proud that I am able to contribute what I can by providing relevant news about the trucking industry, keeping truckers informed about their careers, and giving owners of diesel trucks some insight into how to take care of their trucks.

I am proud that I can bring opinions and information about OTR trucking that is not only useful to the recipients but also makes for interesting reading.
